Infant/Toddler Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and energetic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our daycare center. This role involves caring for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years in a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment. The ideal candidate will create a warm atmosphere, implement age-appropriate activities, and support early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Follow and maintain daily schedules for feeding, diapering, naps, and activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, milestones, and needs.
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
Encourage early learning through sensory play, music, reading, and movement activities.
Maintain accurate daily reports on meals, naps, and developmental milestones.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment.
Follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures, including cleaning toys, cribs, and common areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; CDA (Child Development Associate) certification or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Previous experience working with infants/toddlers in a childcare setting.
CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, squat, and sit on the floor with children.
Strong communication skills and a passion for working with young children.
Knowledge of child development milestones and early learning best practices.
Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting per state childcare regulations.
