Description
The Senior Accountant of Celebree School plays a critical role in providing support for all accounting, cash management, budgeting, financial reporting and finance functions. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, with advanced accounting knowledge, to support the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process including analytical review to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Prepare journal entries and workpapers supporting the monthly close
- Reconcile, monitor, and maintain accurate records of daily cash activity
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow and liquidity analyses
- Prepare weekly operational reports for corporate and school management
- Review and reconcile Ramp business credit card and employee reimbursement account
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting packages, including monthly and annual financial statements
- Manage fixed assets using software and reconcile monthly depreciation entries
- Complete personal property tax filings for the company
- Manage collections process with outside vendors
- Support the management of fleet and facilities management vendors
- Assist in the development and implementation of systems to streamline financial processes, reduce waste, and optimize resources across the organization.
- Leverage financial software and tools to improve data analysis, reporting accuracy, and decision-making processes.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to align financial objectives with business strategies.
- Support all accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audits.
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- BA degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years in a staff or senior accounting role
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting tools and systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel, is required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial colleagues.
